Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the sale of products in Misstep Lda's online store. By placing an order you accept them. We recommend you read them and keep a copy.
Last updated: 6 August 2026.
1. Who we are
Misstep Lda — NIPC 519506383 — PT519506383 Registered office: Rua 25 de Abril 15 2 Dto, 2510-705 Gaeiras, Portugal Conservatória do Registo Comercial R.N.P.C. · Share capital 5.000,00 EUR Contact: support@misstepgames.com
2. Who this store is for
We sell to consumers and to businesses within the European Union. To order you must be 18 or older, or have the consent of whoever holds parental responsibility for you.
We also buy cards from individuals through our buylist. That activity has its own terms, shown at the point of submission, and is not governed by this document.
3. Products
We sell sealed Magic: The Gathering product and accessories. All sealed product is genuine and sold exactly as it leaves the manufacturer — we do not open it, do not inspect its contents, and do not guarantee that any box contains any particular card. What is inside sealed product is determined by the manufacturer and is random.
Images are illustrative. Small differences in artwork, packaging or print run can occur when the manufacturer changes production.
4. Prices
All prices are in euros (EUR) and include VAT at the rate applicable to the destination country within the EU. Shipping is calculated at checkout, before you confirm the order, and shown separately. You are never charged anything you were not shown first.
If we spot an obvious pricing error — for example a 120€ box listed at 1.20€ — we reserve the right not to accept the order, in which case we tell you and refund any amount taken in full. We do not use this clause to react to ordinary market movements.
5. How the contract is formed
- You add items to your cart and complete checkout.
- You receive an email confirming we have received your order. That email is an acknowledgement, not yet acceptance of the contract.
- The contract is formed when we dispatch the items, or when we expressly confirm acceptance.
This staging exists for the case where an item sells out between your order and picking. If we cannot supply, we tell you and refund that amount in full.
6. Payment
Payment is processed by Stripe. Your card details never pass through our servers and are never stored by us. Available payment methods are shown at checkout.
We issue a certified invoice through software certified by the Portuguese tax authority, sent by email after payment.
7. Shipping and delivery
Zones, timings and costs are set out on the Shipping & Delivery page. We ship only to the countries listed there.
Risk of loss or damage passes to you when you, or someone you nominate, physically receives the goods.
If your order does not arrive within a reasonable time, contact us at support@misstepgames.com and we will pursue it with the carrier — that is not your job to do.
8. Guarantee of conformity
As a consumer you have the benefit of the 3-year legal guarantee of conformity under Portuguese Decree-Law 84/2021, running from delivery.
If goods are not in conformity — damaged sealed product, a broken factory seal, or an item other than the one ordered — you are entitled to repair, replacement, a price reduction, or to terminate the contract, as the law provides. Contact us at support@misstepgames.com with your order number and photographs where possible.
This guarantee is separate from the 14-day right of withdrawal explained on the Returns page. The guarantee covers defects; withdrawal lets you return goods for no reason at all.
9. Right of withdrawal
If you buy as a consumer you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason. Conditions, deadlines and the model form are on Returns.
10. Complaints and dispute resolution
If something goes wrong, write to support@misstepgames.com first. We answer, and we try to fix it directly.
Electronic Complaints Book: you may file a complaint at https://livroreclamacoes.pt/Pedido/Reclamacao?EconomicOperator=43120080&Store=0.
Alternative consumer dispute resolution (RAL): in a consumer dispute you may refer the matter to the competent alternative dispute resolution body, under Portuguese Law 144/2015:
CNIACC — Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo Rua D. Afonso Henriques 1, 4700-030 Braga, Portugal https://www.cniacc.pt · geral@cniacc.pt · +351 253 619 107 (disputes up to 30,000€)
11. Liability
We are liable for loss resulting from failure to meet our obligations, as the general law provides. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your statutory protection as a consumer, nor our liability for intent or gross negligence.
12. Personal data
How we handle your data is set out in the Privacy Policy.
13. Changes
We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you place it — later changes do not affect contracts already concluded.
14. Governing law
Portuguese law applies. If you buy as a consumer, that choice does not deprive you of the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
